A Literature Review on the Studies of Four Generations under One Roof and its English Translation
Abstract
Based on the statistics of the studies on the English translation of Four Generations under One Roof (《四世同堂》) published in China from 2000 to 2022, this paper discusses the current status of the research from the following five aspects with a literature review of the key papers: general introduction, studies on the original text and English translation, studies on the translator and the translation mode, studies on the communication of the work, and studies on back-translation. Finally, suggestions and prospects for further research are also presented.
